By booking a trip with Everest Hiking Team, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. A booking is considered confirmed only when we receive your completed booking form alongside a non-refundable deposit of twenty percent of the total trip cost. The remaining balance must be paid in full either prior to your arrival or in cash or card upon your arrival in Kathmandu before the trek officially begins.
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify our office in writing via email. Cancellations made more than thirty days prior to the departure date will forfeit only the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made between fifteen and thirty days prior to departure will incur a cancellation charge equal to fifty percent of the total trip cost. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than fifteen days before departure, nor for any unused services, meals, or accommodations once the trek has commenced.
High-altitude trekking in Nepal is inherently unpredictable and subject to weather anomalies, trail conditions, landslides, political events, or flight delays. Everest Hiking Team reserves the right to alter itineraries, transport, or accommodations without notice if it becomes necessary for the safety and well-being of the group. The company is not liable for additional expenses incurred due to these delays or changes, including international flight amendments or extra hotel nights.
It is a mandatory condition of booking that every participant holds comprehensive travel insurance valid for the duration of the trip. Your policy must explicitly cover high-altitude trekking up to the maximum elevation of your specific itinerary and include emergency medical treatment and helicopter rescue evacuation. Travelers are solely responsible for ensuring they are in good physical health and possess the medical clearance necessary to undertake strenuous mountain activities.
All travelers must possess a valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining from their date of entry into Nepal. It is your sole responsibility to secure the appropriate tourist visa and bring the necessary passport photos or documentation required for regional trekking permits. Participants must strictly adhere to the laws, customs, and regulations of Nepal; the company reserves the right to dismiss any traveler from the trip immediately if their behavior is unlawful or endangers the group.
